Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data BetaDriva collects, why, and what rights you have. It is written to comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 ("NDPA"). If you are a driver using the BetaDriva app because your employer added you, section 11 is written for you.

1. Our two roles, and why it matters to you
We handle personal data in two different capacities, and your rights depend on which one applies. Where we are the controller. For people who sign up to BetaDriva themselves, meaning Account Holders and the Admins they invite, we decide what we collect and why. We are the data controller for that information.Where we are the processor. For drivers, vehicles, submissions and records inside a customer's workspace, the fleet owner or car owner who created the workspace is the data controller. They decide who is added, what proof is required, and what is done with the results. We act as their data processor, handling that data on their instructions to run the Service. This means that if you are a driver, the organisation or person you drive for is legally responsible for deciding to collect your data. We are responsible for handling it securely and only as instructed.
